My intention to become a millionaire within the next 4 to 5 years was shot down by Samdhen Legel Firm’s shared article in Kuensel: No Short Cut to Becoming a Millionaire. The author of this article is Dhendup, a practising lawyer. The author’s critical analysis of his acquaintances persuaded him to join part of the scheme, which is part of the scam.
Before going through this article, on April 3, 2025, I had a good conversation with a victim of this shortcut earning; I felt so lucky for not being part of it. I heard many people took part in this so-called e-commerce business earning scheme by investing 6.5 lakhs as a start-up fee claimed by an organised promoter. But they never reveal the business name, but the author of the article is a treasure revealer to reveal the name as QNET.
I also got a platform & opportunity to listen to the promoter claim to be (name … ) residing in Thimphu. He shared his inspiring journey of how he got into the e-commerce business. He said his ROOT Guruji is one lady whom they have known for decades. He shared his root guruji never revealed his name, and assigned a reading book called Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kyosaki, which came after getting the idea. He said he threw the book on reaching home and never went to get it, lol. He wondered why his guruji was not revealing the name of the business. What kind of easy earning is it? But why does she repeat to me, you will become a millionaire within a short period?
He narrated how he felt bad at the initial stage and had no choice and later went through the book assigned by his e-commerce guruji lady. On reading book, he said he was inspired by the book and went to meet Guruji. His guruji asked him. Did you get a business idea? He responded yes, but requested, Can tell me how much start-up fee I have to pay. That was his direct question since the target is to become a millionaire. His narration provided me with a clear picture that he invested around 1 million by taking a loan or making another adjustment. Then I told him how much I have to pay the start-up fees. For this, he responded, I have set or written 20 goals, and he will see lol whether I am fit to be in the team or not.
In the next few days I got so busy, and due to tiredness from work, I felt so lazy to dream of becoming a millionaire.
It was on April 3, 2025, that I shared such a proposal with one of my friends who resides in Australia. She immediately said This is the same tactic they use to get the business team lol.
In our conversation, she claimed to be a victim of a scheme and her investment of 6.5 lakhs earned no return profit but instead led her to think of a person who convinced if front to kill also when she felt her wallet was empty. She even shared that she received 21 days of training after investment, and the training included positive vibes to carry on, how to convince close friends, relatives, and others. The promoter made them to list like, Hot zone for immediate family members, Warm zone for friends and relatives, and Cold Zone for those whom you just know. She also said they have to team report how many people they talked daily and share ideas with, as well as be willing to invest or become their team.
She mentioned some of her friends invested 13 lakhs, some 6.5 lakhs, and they finally ended up with not only a family dispute but also breaking up friendships for letting them invest in the wrong scheme.
One interesting thing is that after posting this information on Facebook, I received a text that seems to be from a promoter, defending their stand in my post, and commented as well in a personal message, but I have no time to respond. What I am sharing is based on evidence to protect my fellow Bhutanese friends.
