I join Indian nation in remembering Swami Vivekananda on his death anniversary, today. He was a charismatic spiritual leader, & a towering intellectual who introduced Vedanta philosophy to the West and inspired millions across the world through his teachings. He also introduced India’s rich culture and spirituality to the world and stood for world peace and harmony.

He was one of the greatest spiritual leaders of India and chief disciple of Rama Krishna, who made the Hinduism most popular religion in the late 19th century. It was Swami Vivekananda’s 1893 speech at the World’s Parliament of Religions in Chicago that made him popular as “Messenger of Indian wisdom to the western world”.

Having a opportunity to read his collection “Reflections of Swami Vivekananda”, has given me immense joy and how lucky I am to draw his philosophy. His thought-provoking quotes and writings are sources of motivation for the youth and subject of study. His teachings remind us that even before we knew of gravity it existed, and even after we forget it, it will still exist, he reminds us that times and knowledge will change. We must always remember to try to improve ourselves and our humanity.
